Restorative Yoga teaches us the value in stillness - doing nothing. During this
class participants will rest in poses completely supported by props. These
nurturing poses will help us to consciously relax. Restorative yoga improves
our capacity for healing, helps to balance the nervous system and boosts the
immune system. Join us to find the benefits in slowing down, and give back
to your body. This over two hour class will have an hour and thirty minute
restorative yoga practice, followed by a Yoga Nidra session.
Yoga Nidra is an ancient guided meditation technique which moves you
through brainwave states similar to those in sleep, where the biology of your
body makes it easier to disengage from thoughts. Benefits of Yoga Nidra are:
minimizing tension, training and relaxing the mind, clearing the
unconscious, awakening creativity, enhancing memory, and counteracting
negative stress.
